Dr Shawn Larson is a tenured professor and interim chief of the division of Pediatric Surgery within the University of Florida College of Medicine department of Surgery. Dr Larson serves as the medical director of the UF Health Shands Children's Hospital Pediatric Trauma & Burn Program, an American College of Surgeons (ACS) verified Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. Dr Larson focuses on all areas of pediatric surgery with special interests in pediatric trauma, pediatric burn and complex wound care, neonatal surgical disease, ECMO, and gastrointestinal surgery (including minimally invasive pediatric surgery). Dr Larson currently serves as the UF Children's Hospital surgical representative to the Children's Oncology Group (COG).
