I have been fascinated by medicine since middle school when I was old enough to appreciate my mother's work as an Internal Medicine Doctor. I gained an appreciation for women's health while doing work at a Maternity Hospital in India while I was a college student. I appreciated that at its core, medicine is about the relationship between the caregiver and the patient.
