Erica R. Gottlieb, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and clinical director of the Columbia Day Program at Columbia Doctors Psychiatry Midtown. She serves on the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC). Dr. Gottlieb specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, oppositional behaviors, ADHD, and substance use in adolescents and adults. She has received training and supervision in a number of evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the application of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and CBT for the treatment of substance abuse. Dr. Gottlieb completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Economics from Georgetown University. Prior to completing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University, she spent several years in finance at Citigroup. She completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Mount Sinai-St. Luke’s Hospital in Manhattan, where she specialized in treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in adolescents.
