Barnitta Moses, D.N.P. is a Baltimore native. At 12 years of age she decided she wanted to become a nurse. She graduated from Edmondson High School and then attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County and the Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 1988. However, she felt limited by the scope of practice of the LPN and decided to attend Union Memorial's Registered Nurse program, from which she graduated in 1995. Barnitta has worked in a variety of settings, including medical surgery and oncology. She was supervisor and triage nurse at Bon Secours outpatient clinic. She has worked at many area hospitals including Sinai, University of Maryland, Maryland General and Franklin Square.
