Akiva Novetsky, MD is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist who specializes in the care of patients with gynecologic malignancies (uterine, ovarian and cervical cancers). He manages all aspects of these patients' care including diagnosis, surgery (focusing on minimally invasive surgical procedures) and chemotherapy. Dr Novetsky's research focuses on improving the diagnosis and care of patients with cervical cancers and pre-cancers. He is a co-investigator on a NIH moonshot grant to develop new technologies to identify cervical pre-cancers with a focus on developing affordable care for lower middle-income countries.
