Dr Elia Abboud obtained his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon followed by a year of cardiovascular surgery research at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease. Dr Abboud then completed an additional fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has co-authored multiple publications in the field of cardiology. Dr Abboud is married with two children and enjoys music, traveling and spending time with his family.
