Competent. But he routinely engages is medical gaslighting.
He pretends to care. He will ask if you have any questions or concerns, but then ignore or dismiss any questions or concerns you have.
He will downplay the amount of pain you will feel after surgery and under prescribe pain meds.
He will insist that you fit into his cookie cutter aftercare plan, instead of tailoring you care to fit your needs.
And if you resist his cookie cutter approach, you will be humiliated and treated like a "problem" patient by him and his PA's.
The only reason I give 3 stars instead of 1 is because I think that unfortunately, this kind of mistreatment is typical among doctors. So, I guess he's "average".
