Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I chose to become a Family Nurse Practitioner because I have a passion for preventative healthcare and love caring for people. I have cared for all ages and have been a nurse for over 9 years at York Hospital, but have worked in healthcare for 18 years. I believe in holistic care, treating the whole patient, physically, mentally and emotionally. What I want my patients to know about me: I care about my patients and enjoy learning about them as individuals. People have many needs in medicine and what works for one person, might not necessarily work for someone else. I want to provide my patients with the best individual care and the resources they need for their health.
