Nikhil Joshi, MD, is a radiation oncologist at RUSH. He earned his medical degree at Seth G.S. Medical College in India. He trained in radiation oncology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India, followed by two fellowships in radiation oncology at the Cleveland Clinic.
Joshi treats a variety of cancers, including those of the mouth, throat, voice box, swallowing tube, nose and sinus, back of the nose, skull base, salivary glands, thyroid gland, as well as melanoma and non-melanoma skin.
Specializing in precision radiation techniques, Joshi uses radiation alone or in combination with surgery and/or systemic therapy to help treat complex cancers. In collaboration with his colleagues in surgery and medical oncology, he treats patients with a personalized care plan, giving them the best chance of cure with the least possible side effects.
