Luis Hernandez, M.D., FACC, is a cardiologist at the Monument Health Heart and Vascular Institute and is the medical director of the Advanced Heart Failure program. He received his medical degree from the National Autonomous University of Honduras. He completed his residency with the Presence Saint Joseph Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program. He then completed his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, Florida, and his Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland. He was selected as chief fellow for both fellowships.Dr. Hernandez is a specialist in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology.
