Dr. Emily Lefkowitz graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in human development and nutritional sciences. She received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. Following an internship at Bassett Medical Center/Columbia University, Dr. Lefkowitz completed her dermatology residency at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where she served as co-chief resident. She has several publications in peer-reviewed journals on various topics in medical dermatology.
Dr. Lefkowitz practices general and procedural dermatology with interests in skin cancer prevention, detection and treatment, as well as the treatment of acne, psoriasis, eczema, and other common skin conditions. She is especially passionate about the doctor-patient relationship and believes it serves as the foundation of high-quality care in the diagnoses and treatment of skin conditions. Dr. Lefkowitz strives to provide compassionate, comprehensive, patient centered care for all.
