Carol G. Boyer, RN, MSN, APN, CN-BP, AOCNS, is the Oncology Program Director at Summit Health and a certified breast nurse patient navigator for the Summit Health Breast Nurse Navigation Program. An oncology and board-certified gerontology clinical nurse specialist, Ms. Boyer has more than 30 years' experience in clinical nursing practice. She specializes in home care, hospice, oncology, and geriatrics. Ms. Boyer has previously worked at Overlook Medical Center in chemotherapy administration. She has been an oncology clinician at Georgetown University Hospital, George Washington University Hospital, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and Overlook Medical Center. A gifted teacher, Ms. Boyer has been a nursing instructor at Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing and George Mason University School of Nursing. She was an adjunct faculty member at George Washington University. Her research interests include the study of a vaccine for brain tumors.
To her credit, Ms. Boyer is Founder of the Summit Health Breast Nurse Navigation Program. She is a Board Member of the Township of Berkeley Heights Board of Health. Ms. Boyer is the recipient of the Academy of Oncology Nurse Navigators Breast Cancer Nurse Navigator of the Year Award.
