Born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Dr. Teresa Williamson completed her bachelor’s degree at Millsaps College before moving on to receive her medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, where she completed her residency in family medicine, including serving as Associate Chief Resident from 1989-1990.
Before returning to her hometown of Pascagoula, Dr. Williamson worked for four years at Johns Hopkins Medicine. She also operated a private practice prior to joining Singing River Health System.
Dr. Williamson is passionate about treating the whole person. She went into family medicine to have the opportunity to care for people at every stage in life. As a family medicine provider, she enjoys being able to help her patients navigate through specialists and assist them with challenging healthcare needs. She is her patient’s biggest cheerleader.
