As an invasive/non-interventional cardiologist, Dr. Wagner performs diagnostic tests to identify heart problems. These tests include echocardiograms, stress tests and EKGs (electrocardiograms). He also performs a diagnostic procedure called cardiac catheterization, which is used to find blockages of coronary arteries. Dr. Wagner earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He underwent fellowship training in cardiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. He has special interest in heart failure and echocardiography. Dr. Wagner focuses on the prevention of heart disease through weight management, nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle changes.
