Dr. Rys is a clinical psychologist who works with patients and their families to deal with the physical, psychological, social, and behavioral aspects of having cancer. He provides interventions from the time of diagnosis through treatment and beyond. Dr. Rys collaborates with patients’ medical teams to help improve their overall quality of life.
He earned a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pennsylvania and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Union Institute & University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Rys completed an internship at Torrance State Hospital in Torrance, Pennsylvania, and an observership in psycho-oncology from the National Institutes of Health at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York.
Dr. Rys welcomes patients 18 and older at the AHN Cancer Institute – Saint Vincent in Erie, Pennsylvania.
