Joseph Justin Mulvey, MD, PhD, is Associate Director, Hematology at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His clinical interest lies in the intersection of coagulation and immunity. Rare disease, especially related to the immune system, is his greatest challenge and thrill in medicine. After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Columbia University in 2006, Dr Mulvey earned his Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy at the Tri-Institutional MD PhD Program in 2016. He then completed his clinical residency at NewYork-Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical College in 2019, and a laboratory medicine fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2021.
