Gary Shapiro
Dr. Gary Shapiro is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in spine surgery. He specializes in treating spinal conditions in adults and children, with a special interest in sports-related spinal injuries. A former official spine surgeon for the Chicago Bears, Dr. Shapiro often uses non-surgical and minimally invasive techniques to improve recovery and outcomes. He serves as chairman of the professional staff risk management committee at NorthShore and is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Chicago. His research focuses on enhancing spinal surgery outcomes and recovery times.
