Dr Kana Miyata treats patients with kidney conditions in the hospital, outpatient clinic, and dialysis clinic. Dr Miyata offers clinical expertise in the treatment of chronic kidney disease, diabetic kidney disease and glomerulonephritis (inflammation of the tiny filters in the kidneys). Her research interests include new treatments for diabetic kidney disease and chronic glomerulonephritis. Dr Miyata is an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and an editorial board member of the scientific journal Glomerular Diseases.
