Dr. McAllister is director of the neuroscience program for Saint Vincent Hospital. He is an experienced neurosurgeon specializing in surgery for spinal conditions, injuries, and fractures.
Dr. McAllister received a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia – Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. He completed a residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. He gained further training through a fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Joint Section of Spine and Peripheral Nerves. He has published numerous articles related to neurology and spine diseases.
