Carmelle Charleston

Carmelle Charleston, APN is a member of Summit Medical Group's Family Medicine team. Ms. Charleston is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Over the course of her career, she has provided treatment and care to a variety of patients from infancy through adulthood, but her current focus is on the adult and geriatric population. 

“As a nurse practitioner, I am able to combine my compassion for others and my zeal for medicine in such a positive way,” says Ms. Charleston. “It’s a life-long dream accomplished, and each day is a new opportunity to use the knowledge, skills, and experience I’ve acquired to care for and support others."

Ms. Charleston greatly enjoys the ever-changing environment of health care. She is constantly learning and staying up to date on new and cutting-edge techniques for improved patient care. “Innovative treatment is wonderful, but what can make all the difference is connection and communication,” says Ms. Charleston. “Understanding the patients and allowing for open communication with both them and other members of their care team is critical to providing optimal care.”

When not with patients, Ms. Charleston enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends saying, “There are few problems good company can't solve.”
