Dina Leyden
Dina Leyden, PT, has expertise in vestibular rehabilitation, including evaluating and treating benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, uni- and bilateral vestibular hypo function, Meniere's disease, and general balance and dizziness disorders. She has worked in a variety of health care settings, including hospitals, adult inpatient rehabilitation programs, home health, subacute care, and outpatient private practice.
Before joining Summit Health, Ms. Leyden was a physical therapist in practice with Advanced Physical Therapy Associates in Cranford, New Jersey. She has worked with Saint Barnabas Medical Center, the Visiting Nurse Association of Central New Jersey, and JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, all located in New Jersey. She also has been a staff physical therapist for New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in New York City, and she has taught classes for the Union County College Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
Ms. Leyden is a member of the National and New Jersey American Physical Therapy Association Chapters and the Vestibular Disorders Association.
Former cochair of the Interfaith Family Shelter of Westfield, New Jersey, Ms. Leyden has volunteered for the Jewish Community Center in Scotch Plains, and the Cranford Recreation Center, where she has given yoga classes for senior citizens.
An advocate of integrative, complimentary medical care and wellness programs, Ms. Leyden coordinates her patients' therapy to help them smoothly transition from rehabilitation to health maintenance.
Ms. Leyden notes, "I believe that listening carefully to my patients' concerns helps lead me to the right treatment. I continue to modify each patient's treatment until it yields the best results." She adds, "Seeing my patients improve and achieve their health goals is extremely gratifying for me."
When she's not working with her patients, Ms. Leyden enjoys yoga, fitness, hiking, skiing, golfing, and reading.
