As a child, Dr. Parziale's parents emphasized the value of hard work and long-term goals. In addition, his grandmother, an immigrant, lived with his family and shared her stories about growing up in another country and moving to the United States. He notes, "My grandmother taught me that change is a privilege to embrace. She instilled me with the courage and motivation to seek new challenges." His experience with his grandmother gave him a deep understanding of the wisdom of older adults. As a result, he is especially sensitive to the needs and concerns of his older patients.
Dr. Parziale studied medicine because he was eager to help others. An advocate of preventive care, he believes in providing his patients with the education they need to make informed decisions about their health and health care. He also explores and presents nonmedical as well as medical therapies to help his patients restore and maintain their health. He adds, "Although my patients rely on me for diagnoses, I partner with them and their families in the healing process."
When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Parziale is an avid gardener and seasoned traveler.
