Dr. Kenneth K. Tram is a board-certified UCI Health specialist in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. He specializes in the care of aging adults, with a particular clinical interest in the care of complex and chronic conditions and diseases, as well as memory loss.
He earned his medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in Los Angeles. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in Sylmar.
After his training as an internist, Tram pursued a fellowship in geriatrics at UCLA to prepare himself to treat the health concerns of growing numbers of baby boomer patients.
A baby boomer himself, he recognized that a variety of issues — including memory, falls, dizziness and incontinence — affect many people as they get older. “Memory is probably the biggest issue,” he says. “I’ve been very keen to look into different approaches to preserving and enhancing memory as patients get older.”
Tram, who treats patients of all ages, finds long-lasting connections to patients particularly rewarding. “Those ongoing relationships give me the most fulfilling sense of accomplishment,” he said. In fact, Tram encourages patients to directly connect with him anytime, and provides them with his cell phone number so that they easily can seek his advice.
