Dr. Jacobs is a Board Certified Vascular Surgeon and a Board Certified General Surgeon. She received her M.D. from George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Barnard College at Columbia University. Dr. Jacobs completed her general surgery residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Following her residency, she continued her career at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she completed a fellowship in vascular surgery and was an Attending Surgeon. Prior to joining the Division of Vascular Surgery and the Comprehensive Vein Program at Weill Cornell Medical Center she was in private practice on the Upper East Side, where her focus was on cosmetic and medical treatment of varicose veins and venous disease. Dr. Jacobs is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery and the American College of Phlebology. She has published in academic vascular surgery journals and textbooks and is a speaker at conferences and seminars on the treatment of varicose veins and venous disease.
