Dr Shawn Yazdani is an interventional cardiologist specializing in structural heart disease and complex coronary interventions. He has over 20 years of experience in his specialty and during this time he has been instrumental in introducing many new procedures to patients in Northern Virginia. In addition to starting the first complex percutaneous intervention and chronic total occlusion program in the area, he has performed many new procedures in the field of structural heart cardiology to help patients who had very limited options to treat their disease. Among these include the first percutaneous mitral valve replacement, first trans-caval access, first valve in MAC as well as first minimally invasive Watchman therapy. In addition to seeing patients in Vienna, he also have office hours in Manassas and Warrenton. He also does consultation via telemedicine for those patients who can not physically come to his office.
