John Sun, MD
Dr Sun grew up in Denver and attended the University of Colorado Boulder on a Boettcher Scholarship. He graduated from CU Medical School with honors and was awarded the Joseph and Regina Glazer Prize along with the Denver Surgical Society Award. As a general surgery resident, Dr Sun was recognized for excellence in clinical teaching. He received the Lasers in Surgery Research Award during the two years he carried out research. During his fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Minnesota, he received the Chicago Society of CRS Best Resident Presentation Award as well as the Carl E Christenson Outstanding Fellow Scholar Award.
