Siva Kumar, M.D., completed his medical degree at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute in Madras. He went on to complete a a residency in internal medicine and then a fellowship in cardiology, advanced heart failure and cardiac transplant at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He received the outstanding fellow teaching award as well as numerous other awards during medical school.
