Dr Melgen received his Medical Degree with honors at the University of Pedro Henríquez Urena in Santo Domingo D R Both his internship and residency were served at the internationally recognized University of Miami Jackson Memorial and Miami Veterans Hospital in Miami Florida. He completed fellowships in both hematology and oncology at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital and Sylvester Cancer Center in Miami Florida.Dr Melgen’s research interests include both chemotherapeutic and immunotherapeutic treatments of Lung Cancer, Breast Cancer, Lymphomas and adult Leukemias but is committed to care for patients of all tumor types.
