I went to Dr. Ryan for a physical for missionary service. There was alot to cover, and he spent the time needed to go over the many health questions and history. He took the time to educate me on several preventative options. I was pleased with his kind, attentive, and thorough exam. I will be recommending him to my friends and family.
My husband & I had appointments with Dr. Ryan will not be returning. We needed specific exams done, called ahead & confirmed he could do it. When we showed up, Dr. Ryan asked us to look up what it took for a Dr. to certified in those exams. After realizing he wasn't qualified (no problem), I opted to get a physical done since I had already taken the day off of work. During my appointment, my husband (who had a physical with Dr. Ryan 2 months previously) stayed in the room. Dr. Ryan asked him how he was doing. My husband responded that he was fine, but that a mysterious pain had recently appeared in his quad. Dr. Ryan recommended a few stretches as he was continuing to perform my physical. Two weeks later, we received a $136 bill for my husband's "consult" with Dr. Ryan! He billed us for answering his own question! I called the receptionist & they said this is the behavior we should expect from Dr. Ryan & that he sees nothing wrong billing patients who weren't actually being examined (my husband was just sitting in the waiting chair while I was on the exam table). I'm sure he's a nice guy, but be careful of small talk with him as he might bill you for it.
