Dr Aasim Sheikh is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. He has been in practice since 1998. Dr Sheikh received his Medical Degree from Aga Khan University Medicine College in Karachi, Pakistan. His initial fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology was completed at State University of New York at Stony Brook, NY. He then completed his Advanced Fellowship in Transplant Hepatology and Hepatobiliary Diseases at Westchester County Medical Center, New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. Dr Sheikh has co-authored several publications and book chapters in regards to liver disease. He has earned numerous honors and awards including Junior Clerkship Honors in Internal Medicine, General Surgery & Psychiatry.
