Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I grew up watching my mom pursue her career as a nurse and I would enjoy hearing about all of her experiences; the good and the bad. I knew at a very young age that I wanted to help people and make a difference in their lives. I know first hand how it feels to be the patient and I knew that I wanted to make my patients as comfortable as I could in their present situations. What I want my patients to know about me: I have experience in several specialties of medicine which enables me to have various perspectives regarding a vast amount of disease. I began working as a registered nurse in oncology before transferring to the operating room for several years.
