Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: Growing up in a family where medical field was an intrinsic aspect, it was indisputable that I will take the same path. Following the paragon of my grandfather George Emil Palade, Nobel Prize winner in Physiology and Medicine, I stepped timidly on the passage of the art of medicine, restoring and preserving health. I found myself resonating at people's ailments and needs rather then work in the research lab. I did not foresee the amazing highs of impacting someone's life, nor the deep lows when the outcome is not the one expected.
