Amber Henson is a family medicine nurse practitioner in Manchester, Kentucky who knew she wanted to be a nurse when she witnessed nurses' compassion firsthand. Amber feels called to this field because she was raised by her grandmother, whom she lost to lung cancer. During her battle with the disease, Amber experienced the caring nature of the nurses and doctors and believes if she can help anyone the way others have helped her, she knows she is where she needs to be. Amber was born and raised in Manchester and earned her nursing education from Eastern Kentucky University. The oldest of five children, she's always felt compelled to lead by example while caring for others and is always willing to help patients in any way she can.
