Dr. Rebecca Weinberg is a clinical psychologist in Allegheny Health Network’s Women’s Behavioral Health Program at West Penn Hospital. She is the director of clinical operations for the perinatal depression program and specializes in treating women struggling with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, distress related to infertility and perinatal loss, and parenting. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology at Yeshiva University, in New York. She completed her predoctoral clinical psychology internship at Allegheny General Hospital and her post-doctoral clinical training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. She has training in several evidence-based psychotherapies, including interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral activation, and dialectical behavior therapy, which she incorporates into her clinical work. During her pre and postdoctoral training, she also participated in the development of Family-Based Interpersonal Psychotherapy (FB-IPT) for Depressed Preadolescents, assisted in writing the treatment manual and provided this psychotherapy to preadolescents and their families. She is an author of Family-Based Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depressed Preadolescents, a clinician guide published by Oxford University Press.
