Dr. Christine Carr is a professor of emergency medicine and public health sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. She also serves as the medical director of Health Data Exchange for Health Sciences South Carolina, and as a senior clinical advisor for the South Carolina Hospital Association. Dr. Carr undertook her undergraduate studies at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, earned her M.D. at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1992, and in 1995 completed her internship and residency in emergency medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She has more than 20 years of experience in clinical, research, administrative, and leadership roles in emergency medicine. Dr. Carr's particular expertise is in clinical informatics, ED/hospital operations, and health care facility design.
