Ryan P. Carrick, M.D., earned his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, Ill, in 2004. He completed his residency and chief residency at Loyola University Medical Center. He went on to complete fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Vanderbilt University, where he also received his undergraduate degree. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Carrick was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates. Dr. Carrick is the Director of Interventional Bronchoscopy for Piedmont Physicians Georgia Lung and holds board certifications in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease and internal medicine. Dr. Carrick specializes in advanced bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) for state-of-the-art management of lung nodules, lung cancer, and other thoracic neoplasms. Dr. Carrick also provides medical care in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Piedmont Hospital, with a special interest in the management of sepsis, septic shock, ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome), and acute lung injury. Away from work,Dr. Carrick enjoys traveling, zymurgy, and spending time with his wife and their two dogs. Dr. Carrick welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
