Fareha Rahim MD FACP earned her medical degree from The AGA Khan University Karachi Pakistan and completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Chief Resident year at New York Medical College program, Sound Shore Medical Center, New Rochelle, New York. She also did a partial fellowship training in Rheumatology, from Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, New York. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Rahim has been practicing medicine for 20 years. Prior to joining Piedmont Athens Regional, Dr. Rahim was part of Private Practice group, Hawthorne Medical Associates, Athens GA. Presently she is Faculty for Piedmont Athens Regional Internal Medicine Residency Program, Clinical Assistant Professor Augusta University /UGA Medical Partnership. She is also Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Faculty of Medical Sciences, College of Public Health, UGA 9/2016. Dr. Rahim enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 kids. The most amazing doctor with whom I have ever had experience. She honestly cares about her patients! She schedules appointments with speciality doctors before I do. I have a tendency to put off follow ups. She is extremely knowledgable which enables her to diagnose a wide range of illnesses. Not telling me that she was suspicious that I had leukemia she immediately made appointments to verify those suspicions. She also diagnosed my heart condition and referred me to a cardiologist. When I was told the next available appointment would be in three months, she called and told them it was urgent. My husband currently has a similar situation with another doctor. I had taken him to the ER and was told to have his pcp order the necessary follow up tests for his illness. I called his doctor and left a message. His assistent returned my call 50 hours later. I was asked if he could wait until his regular appointment in 6 days and the doctor would discuss it with him then. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND DR. RAHIM ENOUGH. I WOULD GIVE HER 10 STARS IF IT WERE AVAILABLE. SHE IS IN A LEAGUE OF HER OWN.
