Michael Talerico, MD, is a clinical assistant professor in the department of orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr Talerico received his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery and orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he remained to complete his residency in orthopaedic surgery, and served as administrative chief resident in his fifth year. He went on to complete an accredited fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology advanced clinical experience at Harborview Medical Center, affiliated with the University of Washington.
