Shewent to Wright State University School of Medicine where she earned her medical degree in 1991. She completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Aultman Hospital/Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine in 1996, as well as a one-year Internal Medicine internship.
