Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
The field of gastroenterology is fascinating due to the broad scope of conditions that we as healthcare providers diagnose and treat; whether that is treating acute gastrointestinal symptoms, preventing colon cancer, or improving the quality of life of our patients with Crohn’s or other chronic disease. I sincerely enjoy helping others, and appreciate the opportunity to be in a profession where I can participate in the personal care of my patients. By surrounding myself with wonderfully skilled and caring physicians and staff, our practice has grown and flourished with this commitment to provide the highest quality of care that all patients deserve. I believe when you visit our team at TDDC, that you too will experience this passion and commitment to serve you and your family.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
I have a special interest in the care of patient’s suffering from Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative colitis.
Where did you study?
Undergrad: Texas A&M University, Medical School: University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Residency: Parkland Memorial Hospital, Fellowship: Baylor University Medical Center.
What certifications do you hold?
Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my wife Lori, our three children Nick, Erik and Kate, and our two beautiful granddaughters. I also enjoy hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities.
