Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
Gastroenterology provides a unique opportunity to treat diseases of multiple organ systems with high effectiveness, while using constantly improving, minimally invasive interventions of both medicine and endoscopy.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
I practice advanced endoscopy, including ERCP, EUS, and radio-frequency ablation, interpret capsule interpret and motility studies, practice hepatology and hope to incorporate bariatric services. I also participate in clinical research.

Undergrad: Tulane University and Oxford University, Medical School: Harvard Medical School: Masters In Business Administration: George Washington University, Internship: Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Residency: Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Fellowship: University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
What certifications do you hold?
Medical Doctorate, Masters in Business Administration and Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
I have interests in triathlon racing, tae-kwon-do, gourmet cooking, classical piano, travel, science fiction and fantasy, electronics and various arts/crafts/construction. My young son, wife and I like to travel and participate in his multiple activities including swim team, karate, horseback riding, piano and lots of movies, video games/arcades and hiking.
Do you have any special honors or recognitions in your medical career that you would like to share?
Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School and UT Southwestern Medical Center, valedictorian of George Washington Healthcare MBA class of 2010, elected president of medical staff at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, Ironman 70.3 finisher and elected as fellow of the American College of Physicians.
