About
Waldo Bracy
Dr. Bracy was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He received his undergraduate degree in religious studies from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he was also a member of the football team. Dr. Bracy subsequently went back to St. Louis to attend Washington University School of Medicine, earning his Medical Degree in 1986. He completed both his Internship and Residency training at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana where he was Chief Resident of Internal Medicine. While at Tulane, Dr. Bracy was named Outstanding Intern and was entered into the House Staff Honor Society. In 1990, Dr. Bracy moved to Dallas to complete a Fellowship in gastroenterology and a Fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and was Assistant Professor from 1993-1995. He has done research in gastrointestinal bleeding and therapeutic endoscopy. In July of 1995, Dr. Bracy began his career in private practice, joining Arlington Gastroenterology Associates. Then, in September 2007, Dr. Bracy and his partners in Arlington Gastroenterology Associates made the decision to join their fellow colleagues in Texas Digestive Disease Consultants, PA.
Dr. Bracy is board certified in gastroenterology, and a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Medical Association, National Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, and Tarrant County Medical Society. He is a sports enthusiast – loves the Dallas Mavericks and the St. Louis Cardinals. He also enjoys music, reading, and traveling. Dr. Bracy currently resides in Arlington with his wife and young sons.
