Dr. Nizar Olabi loves his work as an OB-GYN, caring for expectant mothers and welcoming newborns into the world. He first became interested in the field when he realized how much he loved genetics and embryology. These subjects fit his personality well, and allow him to use his strengths to help others.
“I enjoy getting to know families and seeing a result,” Dr. Olabi said. “I hope that patients see me as empathetic and passionate. More than that, I want them to leave knowing that they’ve learned something, understand the process, and know their options. Ultimately, I want them to be comfortable.”
This comfort stems from two important areas: teamwork and education. Teamwork begins from the very first moment that patients call to schedule an appointment. Dr. Olabi firmly believes that every member of the team is an extension of one another. It’s a group effort, patients included. This is why he educates his patients as much as he can.
“Teach, teach, teach,” he said. “Everyone needs to understand their body.”
Dr. Olabi has 20 years of clinical practice, and has experience in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In his free time, Dr. Olabi loves to read. A little-known fact about him is that he was once a professional soccer player and still plays when he can.
