Dr. Turiy is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology.
Dr. Turiy completed her MD degree at George Washington University School of Medicine, Washington, DC. During this time she also completed her Master’s in Public Health/Health Policy at George Washington University School of Public Health, Washington, DC. She completed her Internship and Residency training at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, TX. Dr. Turiy completed a Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, TX, which she completed in June of 2015. Before deciding on continuing additional training in Pediatric Cardiology, Dr. Turiy was on Faculty at University of Texas Heath Science Center at Houston, as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and acted as a Pediatric Hospitalist.
Dr. Turiy is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. Additionally, Dr. Turiy cares for PCA's Adult Congenital patients at our Laguna Hills, Orange, Costa Mesa, Placentia and Long Beach Outpatient Facilities. She has received numerous awards and distinctions for academic and clinical excellence. She has published several articles in various cardiology publications, and participated in multiple research projects.
Dr. Turiy was the Founder/Co-President of the International Health Society at George Washington University School of Medicine. She has participated in several medical missions here in the US and abroad some of which took her to Malawi, Haiti, and Guatemala and with the George Washington Disaster Relief team to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Dr. Turiy is a compassionate cardiologist whose caring, calm and confident demeanor is reassuring to patients, their families and colleagues alike. She is also trilingual and can communicate this is English, Russian and Spanish.
