Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I had always aspired to become a physician, particularly a family practitioner or a pediatrician. In medical school, I found neurosciences and neurology very interesting. It was a field that allowed for building long-term relationships with patients, one of the reasons why I chose medicine in the first place. It also allowed for opportunities to make a difference, not only the patient, but also their caregivers and family. So, I pursued training in pediatrics with the ultimate goal of becoming a pediatric neurologist. What I want my patients to know about me: I believe in the importance of support from family, friends, and others, and how this affects the overall well being of a person.
