Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: Deciding to become a physician was not a difficult choice for me. Ever since I can remember, I have been interested in the sciences and how they contribute to the betterment of human health. A career in vascular surgery allows me to enjoy putting my knowledge of science and medicine into substantive work that can really make a difference in the lives of people in our community. What I want my patients to know about me: I enjoyed growing up in Brooklyn, NY and later on attending high school in Long Island, NY. I come from a family of police, fireman, plumbers, truck drivers and the like. This gave me tremendous appreciation for hard work.
