Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I absolutely enjoy helping people and making a difference! My mom pursued nursing when I was little and I just fell in love with learning about the nursing and medical world, the anatomy of the body, disease processes, the nurturing atmosphere, the diversity. I pursued my nursing career immediately after high school and completed my Bachelor's in 2002. I moved from Virginia and started my career at Johns Hopkins in Oncology, which was very rewarding but challenging at times. I soon learned that I wanted more, so I went back to school to obtain my Master's Degree to become a ACNP in 2005. What I want my patients to know about me: I'm originally from Virginia and am the oldest of 5 children.
