Amir Steinberg, MD joined Westchester Medical Center in 2021 as their clinical director of adult stem cell transplantation. He is the director of the adult hematology-oncology fellowship program. He also has an appointment as Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College. Dr Steinberg's clinical focus is on hematologic malignancies and cellular therapy. He has been involved in research focused on lymphoma, quality of care, and nonmalignant transplantation. During his career he has served as the principal investigator (PI) for a study investigating a conditioning regimen called DRBEAT for primary central nervous system lymphoma and was site PI for the multicenter ABVD vs AVD with brentuximab study for advanced stage Hodgkin lymphoma.
