As an Allergist and Immunologist, I have the opportunity to treat patients of all ages, and I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families. One of the most important aspects of my approach to patient care is taking the time to listen and to understand their concerns in order to provide the best individual care possible. It is an exciting time to practice medicine in the field of Allergy and Immunology. In the last few decades, we have gained such a better understanding of the immune system. Great progress has been made in the approach to preventing and managing food allergies. There are also new therapies for the treatment of allergic conditions such as asthma and chronic hives. My passion for medicine and the compassion I have for patients drive my dedication to master the latest developments in the field and to seek the best course of action for my patients. There are many misconceptions about allergies. I believe it is important to educate the patients I see about their allergic and immunologic disorders. I take the time to inform them about all treatment options so they can make the best decision about their care. It is very rewarding to help patients obtain better control of their disease and improve their quality of life.
