The Cleft and Facial Cosmetic Surgery Center is devoted to providing the best and most current surgical treatment for cleft lip and cosmetic patients.

Dr. James currently holds a full medical and dental license in the states of Louisiana and Oklahoma, as well as a full medical license in Florida. He has authored multiple papers and book chapters in the fields of cosmetic, cleft, craniofacial, and trauma surgery. Following completion of his fellowship training, Dr. James moved back to New Orleans, Louisiana, and founded “The Cleft and Facial Cosmetic Surgery Center.” He participates as a lead surgeon for the Cleft and Craniofacial Team at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans as well as practice full scope Facial Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. James also serves as a clinical assistant professor at both the Louisiana State University School of Medicine and School of Dentistry. Dr. James currently serves in the United States Air Force Reserves as clinical professor for the Air Force and Army Maxillofacial Surgery Training Program at Wilford Hall in San Antonio, Texas, where he provides training in the fields of cosmetic, cleft, craniofacial, and maxillofacial surgery to the military residents. Dr. James is currently in the process of obtaining his board certification in Facial Cosmetic Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a member of several associations including the American Cleft Palate – Craniofacial Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.
